Creating Your Brand – Tips from Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs discusses the kick-off of Apple’s “Think Different” campaign (2008), and how to build a brand that accurately reflects the “soul” of your business.
What if it’s not about YOU?
As much as we love it when people in our lives are singing our praises, the reality is, we may not always hang their moon.
What if our first response to negative feedback from others is to ground ourselves in the one thing we DO control – our own attitudes and state of mind?
What if we separate ourselves from the emotions of others, seek to understand their response, and consciously assess how we want to relate to each other?
What if conflict provides an opportunity to take a deep breath, manage our own internal state, and perhaps even discover new ways to care for each other?
“Whenever you’re in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.” – William James
What If UpDate: Our Spiritual Entrepreneur group on LinkedIn is growing by leaps and bounds! Please spread the word to any purpose-driven entrepreneurs and business owners you know. There is some GREAT dialogue happening there all week long…
P.S. By the way, did you know that Mother’s Day was originally created by women who sought to find more peaceful ways to resolve conflict? Sending special love and blessings to all of you moms and women who mother! Hope you had a blessed Mother’s Day…

The Spirit of Possibility
This week’s focus is POSSIBILITY THINKING. Learn the secret question that will catapult you over obstacles and continually improve your processes.
“And looking at them Jesus said to them, ‘With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’”—Matthew 19:26
What if you discover hidden talents?

This week’s possibility is inspired by Twiggy, the water-skiing squirrel, who performed this weekend at a spring festival I attended. Orphaned as a baby, Twiggy was lovingly raised by humans who discovered her love of the water, and, it turns out, a natural aptitude for water-skiing.
What if there are hidden talents within YOU still waiting to be discovered?
What if you let go of beliefs about what you “can’t” do and entertain possibilities that you are more capable than you ever imagined?
What if by opening to new possibilities, you actually experience a deeper sense of joy and satisfaction than you have ever known?
“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.” – Walt Disney
What If UpDate: Every now and then, I get requests for personal coaching on how to apply the “What If UP” process to specific situations. This week, I worked with a pre-law student in New York, and I was so excited by his feedback, I wanted to share it (with permission, of course):
“Out of all the types of therapy that I had over the years, I don’t recall such a profound change in one session. I guess you are really onto something!! I also think that you have to do everything to get your methods out there, the world needs it.”
So, I thought I’d ask YOU – would you or anyone you know be interested in either private or group What -If-Up application coaching? What issues would you most like support in moving through? I would love to hear from you. Just reply to me at this address to share your thoughts…
P.S. Yes, Twiggy is a real squirrel. Here’s the video I shot this weekend of her in action. Hope it inspires YOU to try new things this week!
Sales Conversion Through Authentic Service
Many people quiver at the thought of driving sales, usually because we have experienced being on the receiving end of an agenda-pushing salesperson. There is a higher road, and it leads not only to increased sales, but increased JOY in sharing your gifts with your customers.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”—Philippians 2:3
What if the reward is worth the risk?
Big dreams are risky. You might fail. People might laugh. It might be hard. You could lose out in the end. But…
What if the dream is worth the risk?
What if the greater risk is playing small and settling for what you already know?
What if the stretch, the challenge, and the growth you experience when you aim high is the greatest reward of all?
“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” – T.S. Eliot
What If UpDate: Last call! If you’ve got a business (or a business idea!) and you’re ready to LEAP into action, I’ve still got a few spots open in my “Spiritual Entrepreneur” coaching sessions – starting this week! We’re capping the group at 12 people and embarking on a 16-week journey of consciously maneuvering the risks so we can experience the personal fulfillment of following our purpose and the financial reward of taking consistent, strategic action. Email me at mindyATwhatifup.com (right now while you’re thinking about it!) to learn more.
P.S. Check out the miracle of motion: “If you’re afraid to fall, you fall because you’re afraid. Everything is choice.”
Continuity Campaigns and the Physics of Entrainment
How do you get the message about your product or service out to the masses? And how do you create buzz so people seek you when they are ready to buy? This week, we talk about the physics of entrainment, and how to build more solid connections with the people you want to serve. “He went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.” —Mark 1:45
