What if we mobilize the middle?
Sometimes it seems as if we are living in a time of extremes. Polarization. People donned in the jerseys of "Team Us" and "Team Them."
What if the reality of our world is actually different from what we see? What if the majority of us are not at the extremes? What if most of us are somewhere in the middle?
What if the only reason we perceive such division is because those at the extremes are louder than the majority of us in the middle?
Wednesday has arrived once again, and this week's possibility is simple:
What if we mobilize the middle?
- What if the quiet majority rises up as a "network for good," deeply listening to each other, appreciating the diversity of our perspectives, and supporting each other in deepening our understanding and cultivating change?
- What if this community of "possibilitarians" provides a positive, forward-thinking channel for innovative ideas to flourish?
- What if Love takes the lead, and purpose-driven projects build momentum as the result of the connections and encouragement we share with each other?
I read this quote recently by one of my favorite writers and business mentors:
"The path to peace requires courage, restraint, the willingness to listen, and an open mind. The other path – the exciting one – is the path that leads to war." - Roy Williams
What if we trade in the adrenaline rush of conflict for the discipline and stamina that it takes to follow our hearts?
This week, I encourage you to dig in to our What If UP community and share what YOU are doing to bring love and light to the world. Share who you serve, the vision you hold, and what you need to take the next step.
We look forward to What If UPPING with you to move things forward... one idea at a time.
P.S. I'm also reminded of the words of Eleanor Roosevelt when she said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
Tune out the noise. Ignore the outrage. It's time for those of us in the middle to lead the change.
