The Phone Call

What if our thoughts can help heal our bodies? It was approaching dinner time tonight when I got the call on my cell phone. Not recognizing the number, on a whim, I decided to answer it.

The woman on the other end of the call had been attending my weekly book study class at Unity Church of Fort Worth. After three weeks of “What If Upping” with us in class, she had fallen a bit behind in her reading, and brought the book with her for her weekly medical appointment.

You see, for the past three years, she has needed to receive an injection to boost the production of red blood cells. Three years. Every week. The doctor told her she would never be able to generate enough blood cells on her own to skip her injection.

It was pouring rain outside when she called me from her car, still sitting in the parking lot. Tears were streaming down her face. She needed to tell someone, and I had stuck my business card in her book when she purchased it. I was the lucky recipient of that call. Here’s what she told me:

In the waiting room, she had been reading my chapter about LOVE. She was “What If Upping” loving her body and her life exactly the way it is. Then she stepped into the doctors office to do the blood count.

You guessed it. For the first time in three years, she was told that she didn’t need to get an injection.

Is there a connection between the mindset of possibility, the feeling of hope, and the new reality of increased health? There’s really no way for us to know if one was the cause of the other…

Maybe it’s just a coincidence.

But what if it’s not?????

This week, I’m celebrating healthy thinking, and healthy LIVING!

  1. What a great testimonial Mindy. I 100% agree that having the mindset of endless positivities can create miracles. I am so grateful to have learned the process of What if Upping from you and watching it work in my own life. Congratulations to the caller……I hope every person who reads this can think “What if it’s my turn for a miracle next?” Hugs!
